Tradory Terms of Service

Last updated: July 31, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us about your use of the Tradory app for iPhone and iPad. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, delete the app.

What Tradory is

Tradory is a tool for running a small service business: it captures notes and photos, organises them into jobs, and drafts estimates, invoices, and customer messages that you review and send.

It is not an accountant, a bookkeeper, a lawyer, or a tax adviser, and nothing it produces is professional advice. Figures it totals, tax it calculates, and summaries it exports are conveniences for your own records, not a substitute for advice on what you owe or what you must file.

The documents you send are yours

You decide what goes to a customer, so before you send anything, check it.

Drafts are generated from what you dictate, type, or photograph. AI can misread a note, misjudge a price, or write something that does not fit the job. Tax depends on the rate and the inclusive or exclusive setting you have configured, which only you can know is right for your business and your market.

Once you send an estimate or invoice, it is your quote and your bill. You are the one committing to the price, the scope, and the tax, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you sent and for meeting the invoicing and tax rules that apply where you work.

Your data, and your backups

Your business data lives on your device, not on a server of ours. That is deliberate, and it has a consequence: we hold no copy, so we cannot restore anything for you.

If you delete the app, reset the app’s data, or lose or wipe your device, that data is gone unless you have your own backup. Keeping your device backed up is up to you.

Your customers

You choose what customer details to record and when to message them. You are responsible for having a proper basis to hold those details and for following the law that applies to contacting people — including the rules on marketing and on texting or emailing customers.

Turning a note into a draft with the cloud AI service sends the details in that note to a third-party provider. How that works is set out in the Privacy Policy. Read it, and if it does not suit a particular customer’s information, do not draft that note with the cloud.

Acceptable use

Use Tradory for your own business, lawfully. Do not use it to send unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive messages, and do not attempt to interfere with the app, work around the limits on the free tier, or misuse the AI services it relies on.

AI features and tiers

The free tier includes a set number of cloud AI captures each calendar month — 20 at the time of writing. After that, drafting continues on your device, which is also what happens when the cloud service cannot be reached. Tradory Pro removes the monthly cap and enables the additional features described on the upgrade screen.

The allowance, the models used, and which features sit behind Pro can change as the app and its costs change. We may also add, alter, or remove features.

Subscriptions and payment

Tradory Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple, monthly or yearly. The price for your region, and the terms of any free trial or introductory offer, are shown on the upgrade screen before you buy.

Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel or change it in your App Store settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under your App Store account terms, not by us — we never see your card details. “Restore Purchases” on the upgrade screen re-checks your entitlement if you change device or reinstall.

If a subscription lapses, the app keeps working on the free tier and your data stays where it is.

Services Tradory depends on

Tradory uses services run by other companies: Apple for the App Store, subscriptions, and speech recognition, and Google and Groq for cloud AI drafting. Their own terms govern those services, and we do not control their availability, their output, or their pricing. An outage at any of them can interrupt the features that depend on it.

Availability

We do not promise the app or its cloud features will be uninterrupted or error-free. A current, supported version of iOS or iPadOS is required, and features that depend on particular hardware or an installed Apple model are available only where your device supports them.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tradory is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the drafts, calculations, or summaries it produces are correct or suitable for your business.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost or corrupted data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Tradory — including a draft, price, total, or tax figure that turned out to be wrong, or work sent to a customer without being checked.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting the app; cancel any subscription in your App Store settings first. If you use Tradory in breach of these terms, your right to use it under them ends.

Apple

Your licence to use the app is the one in Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms are in addition to it.

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Tradory or for any claim relating to it, and no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be published with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
