This policy covers the Tradory app for iPhone and iPad.
Tradory keeps your business on your phone. There is no Tradory account and no Tradory server. We hold no copy of your jobs, customers, prices, or income, and we cannot see them, because they never reach us.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking, nothing sold. Ever.
Everything you create in the app is stored privately on your iPhone or iPad: your business and pricing details, your customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, expenses, photos, receipts, and your notes and transcripts.
It is protected by your device passcode and encryption. Voice recordings are not kept — audio becomes text as you speak and is then discarded.
If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, that backup includes Tradory’s data, under Apple’s terms and your backup settings.
Only when you do something that needs it.
Turning a note into a draft. When a voice note, typed note, or photo is turned into a job, an estimate, or a customer message, that content is sent to a cloud AI service to be drafted, along with the pricing details needed to draft it and, for customer messages, your business name. Because these notes describe real work, they usually include your customer’s name and job details, and photos may show their property. The request goes straight from your phone to that service and comes back as a draft. It is not routed through us and we receive no copy.
The services used are Google’s Gemini API and, if Google does not answer, Groq. They process the request on their own servers, which may be in another country, under their own terms and privacy policies. No Tradory account or user ID goes with the request, because there are none; like any request your phone makes to the internet, it does reach that service from your device’s IP address.
Not all drafting uses the cloud. Tradory also has an on-device engine — Apple’s on-device model where your iPhone supports it, and Tradory’s own rules where it does not. It handles drafting on the free tier beyond a limited number of captures each month, and it takes over automatically whenever the cloud service cannot be reached.
Transcribing your voice. Voice notes are transcribed on your device once Apple’s speech model is installed on it. Until then, the audio of that note is sent to Apple to be turned into text, using Apple’s own speech service and under Apple’s privacy policy.
Anything you send a customer. Tradory prepares the wording and the PDF, then hands it to your Messages app, Mail app, or share sheet. You send it, from your own number or address, through your own carrier or provider.
Calendar events. If you allow calendar access, scheduled jobs are written to your calendar. If that calendar syncs elsewhere, the event travels with it.
Subscriptions. Tradory Pro is sold through Apple. Apple handles payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is active. We never see your card or billing details.
Files you export. Exported PDFs and monthly summaries are saved on your device and handed to the share sheet, so you choose where they go. We do not upload them.
No account with us. No server holding your data. No advertising or advertising identifier. No analytics or tracking tools of any kind. No location tracking. No access to your contacts. And no selling or sharing of your data — there is no arrangement under which that could happen, because we never collect it.
Each is asked for only when you first use the feature that needs it, and refusing one disables just that feature: microphone and speech recognition for voice notes, camera and photo library for job photos and receipts, calendar for scheduled jobs, and notifications for reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device. You can change any of these at any time in iOS Settings.
Tradory holds details about other people — your customers — and you decide what to record. In data-protection terms that information is yours to answer for, and the app puts you in a position to answer: everything about a customer sits on your device, where you can read it, correct it, export it, or delete it at any time. Bear in mind that drafting a job, estimate, or message with the cloud AI service sends the customer details in that note to the provider described above.
Your data stays until you remove it. There is no server-side retention, because there is no server. Delete individual jobs, customers, or documents in the app; use the reset in Settings to clear everything, including reminders and calendar events the app created; or delete the app, which removes all of it. Copies you already shared are outside the app and unaffected.
The app writes activity logs to the standard iOS logging system on your device. They stay there. If you have chosen to share crash data with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us a crash report; those contain technical detail, not your jobs or customers.
Tradory is a tool for running a business and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live.
Because your data is on your own device, you can already see it, correct it, export it, and delete it, without asking us. If you ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, the answer will almost always be that we hold nothing: there are no accounts and no data is sent to us. We will confirm that in writing on request. We do not profile you and make no automated decisions about you.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the rights you have under the GDPR — access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, restriction, and complaint to your data protection authority — still apply; they are simply satisfied on your own device, and we will answer any request you send us. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information, and there is none for us to sell.
If the app starts doing something this policy does not cover, the policy will be updated before that ships, and the date at the top will change.
