Welcome to SunnySteps (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SunnySteps mobile application and related services (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Intended Use

SunnySteps is designed for parents and caregivers to support children’s development through guided activities, suggestions, and practice routines.

The App is not intended for independent use by children
You are responsible for supervising and guiding your child when using the App
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and apply any suggestions or activities

2. No Medical, Clinical, or Professional Advice

SunnySteps may provide guidance, instructions, or suggestions intended to help support learning, communication, behavior, or development.

However:

The App does not provide medical, clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic advice
The content is for general informational and educational purposes only
It is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment

You should always consult a qualified professional (such as a doctor, therapist, or specialist) for any medical or developmental concerns.

3. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Every child is different. We do not guarantee:

specific developmental outcomes
behavioral improvements
effectiveness of any activity or suggestion

Your use of the App and any results you observe may vary.

4. User Responsibility

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

You are fully responsible for your child’s care, supervision, and safety
You will use your own judgment when applying any activity or suggestion
You will stop any activity that appears unsafe, inappropriate, or ineffective

You assume all responsibility for any decisions or actions taken based on the App.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

SunnySteps is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

We are not responsible or liable for:

any injury, harm, or adverse outcomes involving your child
any decisions you make based on App content
any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

You agree that you use the App at your own risk.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

SunnySteps offers optional paid features (“Pro”).

Billing

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled

Renewal

Your subscription will renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period

Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings

Refunds

All billing and refunds are handled by Apple
We do not issue refunds directly

7. Use of the App

You agree to:

Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only
Not misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the App
Not attempt to reverse engineer or access underlying systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to:

text
activities
designs
graphics

is owned by SunnySteps or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Changes to the App

We may update, modify, or remove features at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee that all features will always be available or unchanged.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
